Studio Engineer
Role & Key Responsibilities:
As a Studio Engineer, you will be responsible for the research, development, design, and technical implementation of studio systems and environments. Your role will bridge creative design and technical execution, ensuring robust and innovative studio builds and maintaining seamless operations in our live casino or gaming environments. You’ll support both day-to-day technical needs and long-term infrastructure evolution.
You will be responsible for:
- Participate in R&D and solution design for new studio concepts, including proof-of-concept testing and technical prototyping.
- Lead and support end-to-end studio builds, ensuring alignment with creative and technical requirements.
- Integrate, configure, and maintain AV, lighting, control, and broadcast systems across multiple studio environments.
- Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to the Studio Technical Operations Team for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Develop technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Plan tasks, manage timelines, and delegate across engineering and build teams.
- Collaborate with creative, product, and software development teams to align studio infrastructure with evolving game and content requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and manage procurement of technical equipment, tools, and materials.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations and change history for audit and maintenance purposes.
- Conduct regular testing, maintenance, and updates of studio hardware and software.
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety and health & safety standards during all projects.
- Perform ad-hoc duties and support project rollouts as required by business needs.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in studio engineering, broadcast tech, AV integration, or similar role.
- Strong technical background in audio-visual technologies, camera systems, lighting, control protocols (DMX, Art-Net), and video routing (e.g., SDI, NDI, Dante).
- Experience with CAD, electronics, rapid prototyping, and mechanical design.
- Familiarity with scripting or coding in Python, C#, or similar languages for studio automation or systems integration.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and task management skills.
- Proven ability to work across departments and manage cross-functional projects.
- Experience with live gaming studios or streaming systems (OBS, vMix) is desirable.
- Understanding of IP-based AV infrastructure, networking basics, and remote monitoring solutions is a plus.
- Knowledge of compliance standards in studio/broadcast environments is highly valued.
