Java Architect (Chinese Speaking Preferred)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Java Architect to lead the architectural design and technical evolution of our core gaming platform. This role will focus on building a robust, scalable, and secure backend ecosystem capable of supporting high concurrency, real-time gameplay, and a distributed microservices environment. You’ll shape system architecture, establish development standards, and work closely with product, engineering, DevOps, and QA teams.
As a key technical leader, you will ensure our platform is resilient, cloud-native, and prepared for aggressive growth across markets and game categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve the overall backend architecture for Games, player sessions, and service orchestration.
- Build systems optimized for low-latency, real-time interactions, capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent users.
- Define principles and patterns for microservice development, service discovery, and inter-service communication.
- Select and standardize backend technologies, tools, frameworks, and infrastructure.
- Embed robust security practices into service designs, including identity, data protection, and auditing mechanisms.
- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure effective deployment on Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Establish coding standards, review critical implementations, and mentor developers on architectural decisions.
- Work closely with product teams, frontend architects, and QA to ensure architectural alignment and technical feasibility.
- Continuously assess emerging technologies and architectural patterns to drive innovation and platform competitiveness.
- Create technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and decision records to support long-term sustainability.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Java backend development, with 3+ years in an architecture or senior technical lead role
- Expert knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA, Redis, and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Proven experience designing and building scalable microservices systems
- Strong understanding of concurrency models, event-driven architecture, and real-time systems
- Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL stores
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Helm, Terraform)
- Cloud experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes production environment
- Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is required
